Light painting is the ability to plan with a light source during a long exposure. So imagine that you let the shutter open for a few seconds and during that time you can play by adding light into the scene.

The idea is to use a source of light and to point the light directly to the sensor.

Indirect

In this case we will add light on the object that is part of the picture. this means that the light will reflect on the object and be part of the picture.
